The 2023 workshop, hosted by University of Otago, University of Canterbury, and GNS Science, was held in Napier Conference Centre, Ahuriri / Napier, Aotearoa New Zealand from November 29 to December 3, 2023.

During the 3-days workshop, through 40 presentations in 9 sessions and two breakout discussion, participants shared the research topics and problems they face regarding seismic hazard assessment. The workshop was followed by a 2-days field trip to experience the active faults, volcanoes and geothermal activity in the Taupo Volcanic Zone.
