Group Photo of the 2025 TJNZ SHA Workshop

This trilateral collaborative annual event began in 2013 and has contributed to deepening discussions and research exchange on SHA among Taiwan, Japan, and New Zealand, as well as with regions around the world.

In 2025, the workshop was held in Ilan, Taiwan, on November 10–11, hosted by the Committee of Taiwan Earthquake Model (TEM). Prior to the two-day meeting, a field trip was conducted focusing on the Milun Fault and surface deformation, as well as coseismic landslides associated with the 2024 Hualien Earthquake.

During the two-day meeting, research presentations and lively discussions were held on the following topics.

  • National seismic hazard and risk models
  • Ground motion monitoring and modeling
  • Seismic hazard and risk assessment
